The Dolphin Adventure

I just loved this book!  

Violet's Voyages has a little girl named Violet catching an imaginative ride on a shooting star. This time she finds herself in Greece and sees all the famous and historical sites. She also meets a dolphin who is on a mission, and she tags along for the fun.  

This works on so many levels.  For the travel-lover in me, it took me to Greece in fabulous detail. And for the dreamer in any child, it brings talking animal guides that show the way. The colourful landscapes come alive through the great pictures in this book. What Khan does in this book is bring magic, imagination, and cultural education together in one great adventure. Caron's gorgeous illustrations only enhance this. Great for little ones and also for the adults reading to them, I highly recommend this book.
